Dr. Gary Moss has testified as an expert witness for attorneys in over a half dozen states involving disputes over practice value and professional goodwill, and has performed more than 650 practice valuations in 22 states and Canada since 1985.
Dr. Moss was an Associate Professor at The New England College of Optometry in Boston for over 25 years, where he taught Health Care Business Management and Managed Care courses. In 2005, he completed the 50-hour course and passed the five-hour exam to earn the CPC, Certified Professional Coder credential of the American Academy of Professional Coders.
In addition to a distinguished career in practice and academia, Dr. Moss has published widely. In 2001, he authored the textbook Eyecare Business: Marketing & Strategy and contributed four chapters to Business Aspects of Optometry. Dr. Moss has published over 40 articles in national ophthalmic journals and delivered more than 35 continuing education lectures at the largest national ophthalmic industry conferences including the 2009 American Academy of Optometry, Vision Expo East & West, SECO and East-West Conference. He is on the Editorial Advisory Panel for the journals Optometry, The Journal of the AOA and New O.D.
